I Got a New Toy

Last week I picked up a bamboo pen. Having worked in an art supply store through college, I’d seen them before, but never gave one a go. They were sitting next to the sumi brushes I use for making tattoo plaques on my last visit to the store, so I spent the $3 and brought one home.
THEY ARE SO AMAZING. A bamboo pen is much like a fountain pen - there is a hole and a notch on one end which act as a reservoir. All I do is dip the pen into ink and then I’ve got, basically, a hard brush to work with. It’s a lot easier on my hand.
And now I can write much more easily than with a brush.
Here we go: the first piece I made with the bamboo pen. You can buy her at Rocket Assembly now.
