Unlocking your creativity
I follow at least four bloggers right now who are hosting e-courses called something like, “unlocking your creativity.”
They charge money for these classes. One of them, booking now, runs for $100.
Stop everything. I will tell you the two-part secret to unlocking, unblocking, encouraging, growing, honing, refining, expanding, and firing up your creativity. For free.
- Do things. Go outside. Look around. Write things down. Listen to music. Take care of plants. Read a book. Watch a movie. Have conversations.
- And then do other things. Draw. Sketch. Doodle. Carve. Find. Gather. Arrange. Edit. Practice. GO.
There is zero magic in being creative. In being an artist or a writer or a filmmaker. It’s all just practice, and the sooner you accept that there is no shortcut besides just working, the sooner you start getting better.
Yay! $100 saved.
