Questions I get asked a lot: Did your husband take your name?
I often work with my husband, and he usually works with me as Scott Rocketship. But he’s better than I was as maintaining two names, so he’s also Scott Kubie.
His name is legally Scott Kubie, and probably always will be. This is not a source of conflict between us — we good wit it.

Cat Rocketship is my legal name. Well, there’s a lot more to my name than that, but yes: I am legally named Rocketship.
I selected “Cat” as a kid, and “Rocketship” when I was in school. I liked the words, and I liked the odd name. It has been a contant dare to myself: I cannot do anything but keep pursuing the creative career I want; I had better work hard, because being young-professional-newet-hire-at-Nationwide-Insurace-Cat-Rocketship would be difficult.
