Cat Rocketship makes art that is fun, weird, and full of life (and, often, full of death). Their work lives in the space between cute and spooky, playful and defiant—think folk art with a rebellious streak. Their prints, stickers, and greeting cards aren’t just decorative; they’re little reminders that we can dream better, connect more with the world around us, and build something real together.
Cat believes in getting to know your neighbors, in sharing what we have, and in making art that means something. Their work isn’t precious—it’s meant to be touched, mailed, stuck to a water bottle, or held onto like a bright and tiny banner of hope. You’ll find it in indie shops, on protest signs, in alleys, and in the hands of people who need a reminder that they’re not alone. Whether they’re putting together a Print Club piece, painting a mural, or turning a half-serious joke into the perfect greeting card, Cat is always making something honest, a little weird, and full of heart.
They live in Iowa with their partner and wife, Dani Ausen, and a tabby named Gino. At any given point in time they're participating in half a dozen Music Leagues. If it's warm, they're gardening. If it's cold, they're watching trash television. And if it's a weekend, they're playing D&D.
Cat posts new work on Instagram and also maintains a Patreon where you can join Print Club or Sticker Club for every-other-month mailings. You can also join the Patreon for free to see most of their blog posts (lots of art, emailed straight to your doorstep.) Catch work for sale on Etsy or at a craft show.
